Local situation:
Togo has a sad record of HIV sieropositivism which,
along with paludisms, tbc, bilarziosys, amebiasys, is
a very serious health problem.
Mother-foetal HIV transmission is one of most heavy
scourges in this country where a child now infected
will die within ten years of his life.
Aims:
1. Feasibility study
2. Extimation of utilization area for a maternity department
3. Design of reception rooms for critical mothers
4. Training of mothers by local nurses
5. Medicine supply
