Existing situation:
Ulcer of Buruli is a social pathology produced by a micro-bacterium that looks like TBC; it is inoculated through bites of a bug that lives in brackish water.
the children are affected most of all, and too often they come to the dispensary with the lesion that has already damaged muscles, tendons and bony tissue.
The ulcer of Buruli heals after months of treatments with specific antibiotics, daily cleaning and disinfection, application of treated clay every three hours, a diet rich in proteins and vitamins.
Currently we have obtained a great result with ozonotherapy.
Activities estimated:
1. Building of a centre for the treatment of ulcer of Buruli, organized by Camillian Sisters
2. Purchasing and installation of laboratory equipments and kits for ozonotherapy.
