Local situation:
Life is quite precarious in all the Country. The pro-capite
annual income is below 120 dollars and the constant
drought (Sahel) cuts down the crops with the consequence
of heavy lack of food.
In Burkina Faso the rate of death for children under
5 years is very high due to heavy pathologies (malaria,
AIDS, measles, parassitosi): it is then quite necessary
to make laboratory screenings for diagnose and care
in real time the mentioned pathologies.
Aims:
1. Building up the laboratory
2. Identification, procurement, shipment of laboratory
equipment
3. Professional learning of laboratory local technicians
and workers by the InterMed staff.
4. Technical, management and accounting assistance by
the Camilliane nuns to the just trained personnel.
Forecast outsourced personnel:

- one laboratory technician for training local personnel
- one second level laboratory technician.
